Hearing Therapeutics

Hearing loss affects millions of people, yet there are currently no medicines or cell-based treatments that can repair the inner ear damage that causes permanent hearing loss. At Ear Science Institute Australia, our researchers are exploring new therapies using stem cells, genebased approaches and medicines to protect and repair the delicate structures essential for hearing. This research aims to deliver future treatments that restore hearing and improve quality of life.
